By accessing and using The Castle Project website and services, you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and provision of this agreement. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of our website, application process, and participation in The Castle Project program operated by RISEHIGH ESTATES LTD (Company Number: 14291665).
2. Description of Service
The Castle Project is a month-long entrepreneurial retreat program held in European castle locations. Participants pay to live and work in a castle environment alongside other founders, with the goal of developing startups, forming partnerships, and advancing their entrepreneurial projects.
3. Application Process
3.1 Application Submission
- Applications are submitted through our online form
- All information provided must be accurate and truthful
- Incomplete or false applications may be rejected
- We reserve the right to verify any information provided
3.2 Selection Process
- Selection is at our sole discretion
- We aim for a diverse cohort of exceptional founders
- No guarantee of acceptance is implied by application submission
- Selection criteria may include but are not limited to: experience, project quality, team compatibility, and program fit
4. Program Participation
4.1 Payment and Costs
- Program fees range from €5,000 to €10,000 depending on accommodation tier
- Payment is required within one week of acceptance
- All costs are non-refundable except under extraordinary circumstances
- Participants are responsible for travel to and from the program location
4.2 Intellectual Property
- Participants retain 100% ownership of any projects, ideas, or intellectual property created during the program
- The Castle Project takes no equity or ownership stake in participant projects
- Participants grant The Castle Project the right to use their likeness and project descriptions for marketing purposes
4.3 Code of Conduct
- Participants must treat all other participants, staff, and property with respect
- Harassment, discrimination, or illegal activities will result in immediate removal
- Participants are responsible for any damage to castle property
- Substance abuse or disruptive behavior may result in removal without refund
5. Limitation of Liability
The Castle Project, its organizers, and partners shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages resulting from participation in the program, including but not limited to:
- Personal injury or illness
- Loss or damage to personal property
- Business losses or missed opportunities
- Force majeure events (natural disasters, pandemics, etc.)
6. Cancellation and Refunds
6.1 Program Cancellation by The Castle Project
- In the event we must cancel a cohort, full refunds will be provided
- We are not responsible for travel costs or other expenses incurred
- Alternative cohort dates may be offered
6.2 Participant Withdrawal
- Withdrawal more than 60 days before program start: 50% refund
- Withdrawal 30-60 days before start: 25% refund
- Withdrawal less than 30 days before start: No refund
- Early departure during program: No refund
7. Privacy and Data Protection
Your privacy is important to us. Please review our Privacy Policy for information on how we collect, use, and protect your personal data. By agreeing to these Terms, you also agree to our Privacy Policy.
8. Modifications to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
9. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the European Union and the country where the program takes place. Any disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration.
